The Astronaut and the Crown

I wondered how it would feel to plunge blindly into nothingness
I stared vacantly at the myriad lights of the city
and boldly decided to take a pause from it all
for it was grotesquely meaningless…
I felt like a Queen without a crown, but I wore a crown that only I could see
The world was rather blind and the city cradled an impish glee, pretending not to see

Let it be, oh let it be…
It is my Crown and I am my Queen

But then there was an echo and an Astronaut
emerged from an unknown abyss…
Entwined in an epiphany I asked, did you bring me my moon from the bottomless abyss?
The Astronaut flew up to me and stared deep into my eyes
For in his eyes I saw my moon and a promise of a Crown to declare my rise…
