DROWN
The water filled my ears and eyes
Its coolness and weight satisfying
The burden above was onerous enough
And so I chose the dark waters below which offered me a promise and some hope
My eyes were kept willfully shut as I absorbed the pensive mirth of it all
My spirit stayed calm like a sleeping child obeying the command of the great blue hall
The weight over me was onerous enough
But the ground below was peaceful, so I chose to be breathless than be spurned to dust…
