I drank up my blues to keep my spirit white
My blues caged my heart, then a sentence was given
I stood still while my heart galloped like a horse set ablaze
I waited for the raven to come to my aid and set my heart free from the grotesque cage

My spirit had left my body
My body
My body
…was just dust and ashes

My spirit had turned white for it was free
It was free
Was it free?

‘Twas a mystery
The body chose to drink up the blues to set the spirit white and free

My body
The body
Was white
Was free
Was it free?
