Spirit Rain

She sat by the window to see –

Her blues overpowered the greys above her head

She hugged her blues tight in fear,

The greys above bellowed out an order

She had to wait, she endured it all with patience to avoid her own fall

She waited and she waited till her own blues were deeply appalled

The wait had to see it’s end, so she crooned and oh she crooned

With open palms and a beating heart she prayed for the appearance of the silver moon

Her answer came with the pouring rain

She understood then that her blues had vanished relieving her from her stinging pain…
